led bar for tail light 2017 FUSE

The tail light bar has 10 LED and 3 are burned out. I was at FORD for two little recalls and an oil change and they were going to replace it under the bumper to bumper warranty. Until they found out FORD makes the enclosure for the light bar; Winnibago is responsible for the light and I am out of warranty on the FUSE. So, I ordered one from Winn and it has arrived. It is not a "plug in" as was told to me by Winn. I'm a bit reluctant to start cutting and stripping and splicing wires and make something totally inoperable. Anyone done this replacement themselves? Advice appreciated. PS: I'm pretty handy with a hammer, screwdriver or saw but electrical I usually stop at changing lightbulbs.

I do all my own electrical repairs. That change is easy if you can solder wires. Do not use wire crimpers. If not, most auto mechanics can but ask first. You want soldered joints with the wires sealed with marine shrink tube. Marine seals with a glue which seals the joints water tight. If you do it just match the wire colors.
