I've heard, from sources I respect, that an LCD TV can be ruined if it is subjected to really cold temps - like during winter storage in cold country, i.e. Kansas for instance. The liquid crystals actually can freeze and will no longer do their thing when thawed. I would suspect that owners of LCD TV's, installed in their RVs are not aware of this problem.

This is being discussed HERE.

That story is making the rounds, but is not true.

The are countless RV's parked in sub freezing temps, many at the RV manufacturer's factory with no damage to the LCD TVs.
