Installing a solar panel

I want to install a solar panel on top of my 07 Winnebago Journey. Does anyone have experience with this that can help me with the easiest route to run the wires?

I brought mine down the refrigerator vent. Was especially easy as the battery compartment was just aft of the refrigerator.

On the 34 journey there is a toilet room between the frig and the battery compartment. That's why I was wondering about anyone who had installed on this model.

although not a winney, I also have a bathroom between the refrig and battery area. However, there is a "pipe chase" along the wall which I removed for easy access both directions. May not be the same as yours, but....

Thanks Dick1142, there is a pipe chase. It leads from underneath the refrigerator through the bathroom to the area where the washer/ dryer is. But then there is still a water heater and a heater between the laundry area and the batteries. Any more suggestions?

Rick

Sorry, no further ideas. Your layout sounds very different from mine. Good Luck

Rick, The air intake for the house heater is just an opening above the heater enclsure. I ran my cables from the solar panels (have four) through the roof directly into the false wall, that your bedroom tv is on. Connected to my charge controller mounted below the tv opening, then down through the heater opening. Drilled a 1.5 inch hole in the steel wall in the heater enclosure into the battery compartment. The +12 VDC standoff in the battery compartment is just above the hole.

Have a neighbor who has an 05 Meridian who did the same thing.
