HELP !!! Urgent ! Stranded. Need wire diagram starter/ sol P30
'85 Chevy 454 P30. Anyone have a link or wire diagram for the starter and all related solonoid. It appears to have two (2) sol. One on starter and one on top of motor above alternator. Why two ? Headers burned up starter and ignition wires. Stranded outside an O'Riellys auto parts. Huntington Beach,Ca.
Never seen a Chevy big block with 2. Never seen a Chevy small block with 2. Only the one on the starter. Maybe not something you want to do but you can use a screwdriver to short the terminals on the starter solenoid. Main battery cable terminal to the smaller red solenoid terminal. If it attempts to crank that solenoid is good. If not then the starter or solenoid is shot.
