Fuzzy backup picture

Thoughts about why the picture from our backup camera is and always has been fuzzy? (Yes, I've cleaned the lens thoroughly.) The side-view pictures are clear as a bell. Unfortunately, I've never had an owner's manual for the camera, and the unit itself gives no manufacturer name. I suspect I'm just going to have to replace the camera. If so, any recommendations about brand?

Could there by moisture behind the lens? I would suspect something like that before changing the camera, but you might find you can't open it to clean it anyway.

Thanks for the great idea, Jerry. It appears I'll be able to remove the lens cover to give everything a thorough cleaning. I'll provide an update after I do.

Check the wire behind the dash. Mine was loose.

Thanks, ajkishgolf12. I'll look into that possibility, too.

rear monitor

we have a 2009 adventurer and our rear camera stopped working,no picture at all, but the two side ones worked .my wife took 3 screws out of the panel and grabbed a plug that went into camera, moved it a little and camera came on. the two plugs that were for the side cameras went in straight but the plug for the rear camera went up around a bracket then back down and it caused it to vibrate loose. she got the wire straight and plugged it in,taped it up pretty good and that fixed it.
