Fried power transfer questions

I have a 2015 itasca Sunstar . We are currently on the road and it appears the white conductor of the shore power cable must have been loose and arched the fried the cable in half at the power transfer switch. I attempted to repair the connection and it didn’t work, so the switch is bad. New one on order.
I bypassed the switch with heavy butt splices and heat shrink until a new PTS comes in .
Now for the odd part all my inverter outlets will not work on shore power but work with the xantrex inverter on .
Breakers are on.
Any ideas on what is going on here ? Thanks in advance. Chuck

I have a Winnabago with a surge protector/automatic transfer switch. Its power flow is such that shore power or generator power is routed thru the transfer switch to a main breaker at the load distribution system. Also, power is routed to the inverter where it is "Passed thru" the inverter to power a sub panel that provides power to the circuits supplied by the inverter.

With your repairs you must have left out the bridge to the inverter supply.

There are three builds for that year of Sunstar 31 KE and none show a transfer switch, so does it look like an add-on?
This is what is shown on all three build dates for 2015 Sunstar 31 KE:
