My problem was the picture on left. Fittings were cross threaded. There is a removable panel on my 07 Journey underneath which I removed to get to the problem area. I had to re manufacturer a piece to refit and rescrew in new holes as the bottom panel was rotting out. Best of luck in fixing problem.

Thanks Jesse.... We are on the move today but I will look when we stop tonight. As I mentioned in my original post, I do see a panel and that is where the drips are coming from. However, the panel I see is about 12" long by 6" wide and is under the water heater which is located on the passenger side in front of the door. Are you saying there is a larger panel as well?

Follow up - After removing and reassembling the pipes/fitting in the water heater bay, my hot water heater now makes a noise whenever I turn on the hot water tap. I am hoping its only air and not something worse. It makes a low pitch whine when the tap is open.

On my hot water heater, after my first 11 months, the check-valves would make a noise whenever running hot water. I had them replaced. Almost exactly 11 months later, they started making noise again. This time, I bought a couple of check-valves to have on hand, and let them make their noise. Three years later, they still make noise, but the flow was never affected. I have never needed the spares, but have them should the flow diminish.
