Flea bombs

I Have been chosen by the dreaded fleas to infest my house. Not knowing I had fleas, I put two of my cats in the MH to reacclamate them and now I want to set off a flea bomb. I'm a bit concerned about doing this. Has anyone ever set off a bomb in their RV? If so is there anything I need to do first? Any quick advice would be greatly appreciated. I want to do this today, Sunday Oct. 5th.
Thanks in advance!

i would just do what you would normaly do in a house,,,,open all storage compartments,,,cover or remove dishes, cookware, after fogging in your rv let it set for as long a few hours,,,and then open all windows and vents to air out,,,u may have to do it again in a couple weeks if more show up because they lay eggs and then hatch,,,,causing a repeat....
best of luck...

Thank you! Hopefully one bomb will do it. I'm pretty sure I got it under control in the house. For anyone out there going thru the same thing, there is a pill called Capstar that u give to dogs or cats, that instantly kill off all fleas, larvae and eggs. I used it yesterday and it works great. No side effects in my cats. I give my cats Frontline every month and still managed to get fleas!

2nd the diatomatous earth but do not use pool grade use only food grade. Food grade can be consumed safely by animals and humans do not breath the dust as it may irritate the lungs. This stuff works on all kinds of bugs apply under furniture in cupboards can be applied directly to carpeting but will be removed by vacuum. It's not poison so it's safe for pets.

This past summer was awful regarding fleas. I'm not convinced that anything kills eggs (they're encapsulated), so I'd do the bomb weekly for several weeks just to be sure. Eggs should mostly be in fabric at ground level (carpet) and maybe laying a plastic tarp as a tent over the carpet would concentrate the bomb?

Wipe down kitchen counters and steering wheel afterwards, of course.

Sure have, and it worked too... Some advice:
The flea bombs you buy in ye-old-stores (Wal*Mart, or even Pet-lands (Petco, Pet Smart, Pet-Supplies plus) with the exception I will list are fairly low power and you need to do 2 or 3 "Doses" usually.

In my case I either got lucky or seriously overdosed the coach (Or both).

The exception: Vets (And all of the "Pet Land" type stores generally have a vet at least one day a week) can "Prescribe" a more powerful one where a single dose will do it.. And I mean DO IT. (Had to bomb the house that way)

Recommendations: Turn off 12 volt (Store mode) turn off all appliances, unplug.. I mean its only for a few hours.... Close windows and vents. Set off bomb(s) (I like to go heavy) starting as far from door as possible, close and lock door (NOTE: no living anything inside).

Come back in 2-4 hours, Open door, open vents, open windows RESTORE 12 volts (USE position on the USE/STORE switch) this should activate the fantastic/maxx air fan, close SCREEN Door only,,, Come back again in about an hour and restore to however you like it.

If you have an area not well vented (As I Do) adding a box fan to force circulation may help.

Hi there, sorry for the late response on the Capstar. You can buy at any pet store or from a vet. And it works miracles!
