External TV sound

For the first time we tried to watch the outside TV and were successful in getting the picture there but no sound. I don't use this TV but my 5 year old Grandson really wanted to sit outside and watch a movie. I also tried to do this to the BR tv and got the same results. We were using the DVD player with an external hard drive connected. It would play and we got sound on the main TV but not on the others. For reference I have a 2017 Adventurer 35P. Anyone have an idea on how to make this work?

Did you go into the menu to see if the sound was actually turned on to the tv speakers? Some tv’s will let you control the output.

Are you sure the external TV is wired to get input from your DVD player? If so, there would likely be a switch inside somewhere to change the output from the main TV to another TV.

Our Vista has a switch near the external TV. That is used to change the external speakers to the outside TV or the radio.

My Adventurer has surround sound on the DVD player, but only in the lounge. To get TV sound when using the TV with the DVD I use the TV remote menu to turn on the tv speaker and then the remotes volume control.

Had the same issue - it was the menu setting - simple fix with the remote.

Thanks for your input. I made myself a note on exactly what to do and put it in the cabinet with the external TV.

I installed a sound bar outside. What a difference. And I can play music from the infotainment system without turning on the TV, saves when on batteries. I can also hear it with the genny running, since WB was so kind to put it on the pax side.

What soundbar did you use? Photo maybe? How is it connected?

Sound Bar

The sound bar sounds like a great idea. My outside TV has sound on DVD, but because it is missing the surround sound of the inside set up it is difficult to hear. We tried to watch a DVD one night while we were parked next to a fast moving creek and finally gave up and went inside because we couldn't get sufficient sound to actually hear the movie over the sound of the creek.
