Experience with rec pro tank non contact sensors?

I've had the non-contact type sensors on two RV now and found them to be much better than the old type with contacts in the tank. I've found them so much better that I've never needed to work on them so feel I really don't know much about them.

So how about you other folks? Have any of you used this " new to me" kit and converter your old probe style sensors? OR did anybody use this kit to build from scratch?

Looking for info for a friend who wants to get away from the probes!

Well, I guess I was wrong again! I thought levels that were wrong was a problem for lots of folks and many would be looking for solutions but it looks like little to no interest here, so I can move on from that non-starter idea!

You might find more people updating tank sensors to SeeLevel II 3 Tank Monitoring System. They are the new sensors on the block and they are super accurate.

It wasn't my problem so I'm falling back to not caring!

I stopped to help a guy load some 4X8 sheets from a cart to his truck and he then asked me to go inside and help him load some more!

It's getting to be a me first, one way world!

@morich just saw this thread.

My non contact sensors are horrible. I can empty the tanks and the sensors can show 2/3 or full, then wait 30 minutes and they show empty, only to show full 30 minutes later.

I have read that there are cold solder joints on the control board for these systems and that removing and touching up the solder joints can improve the accuracy a lot.

Many that do this also drill holes in the face of the panel to make the adjustment pots accessible.

I plan to give it a go later this winter when I have some time.
