Euro Van coach won’t charge (for a friend)
Issues is for a 2003 Volkswagen Euro van conversion by Winnebago.
Seriously, it is for my next door neighbor.
Chassis battery now charges fine when engine is running, but Coach battery doesn’t—only 7 volts are reaching the coach batteries when on shoreline.
Now, they just had a guy install an ignition lock out system, which when removed, helps prevents the car from being easily stolen.
The guy accidentally removed the yellow wire that powers the solenoid from the fuse box, that connects the two batteries, (house and starter) to the alternator when the engine is running.
Great, I fixed that.
But now the coach batteries won’t charge on shoreline power? Coincidence that the converter/charger also went out?
Any thoughts, ideas? Thanks, for a friend…
