After looking at the brass drawer pull on the side of the cabinet for about a week and at the urging of my wife, I replaced the pull with a wood one and now looks like it belongs there. I got the pull at Home Depot, Liberty brand # P10105C-OAK-C. I did have to sand some off of back for clearance of the rocker switch, applied one coat of Minwax golden oak stain and was done.

Your first post got me thinking about this. Your solution is fine for the flipped switch but doesn't cover the case where the ingition swithc has been turned on for whatever reason. I have had people walk out of mine when the step has retracted and just catch themselves as the step was extending. I haven't done anything about it yet but you have me thinking.

p.s. Your picture trail is quite good. May I suggest that you upload it to this site? I say this because some information that I thought was quite valuable has been lost as websites and interests change.

I love a low-tech solution to a high-tech problem! I bet it will last longer too!

OLDPA: Nice job! You just gave me some great ideas for replacing all the substandard cheezy brass drawer pulls in my coach. which by the way is the same color as yours.
