Engine won't start after battery charge

After charging batteries ( two coach and one engine ) reinstalled and tested and all was good. This was Friday and on Sunday went out to move slide out and it would not. Turned on the ignition switch, dash lit up for about 10 seconds then heard a clunk noise L/F, maybe under dash and everything quit. I have no power through out the coach. Any idea what might have happened. Weather here has turned really bad so have not been able to do any check at all, thank you in advance for your help.
I have a 2003 Itaska W/H chassis batteries sit under step easy to access. Odometer reads 74,000 miles it has been well maintained I purchased it two years ago.

Sounds like you blew a cap off your battery. Mine has the chasis battery under the left front of the body. My house batteries are mounted under the stairs, agreed I haveva different model.

You should start by checking battery cables and charge. If they are hooked up correctly and connections are clean and tight, move on to the disconnect solenoid(s) and check for power there with a multimeter. You did have the 'salesman switch' (battery disconnect switch(es) on didn't you? Since you had dash lights for 10 seconds, it sounds like cables were incorrect.

Did you make sure all the battery cables are hooked up correctly?

Another possibility is that an incorrect hook up might have blown a fusible link. These are additional protection for your wiring, they can be anything from a strip of metal fastened between two connections to a section in the wire that melts and sacrifices itself to limit the damage from a short. Test by checking for electric flow from point to point with a multimeter.
If you find the electricity stops at the battery isolation solenoids, you can put both large wires together under one post to 'jumper' past the faulty solenoid.

I can't believe I did not tighten

the negative cable on the engine battery. Last night I posted that my coach would not start after charging the batteries. I said I doubled checked everything, well I did not. Thanks guys for the good info you gave me.
