I have a 36' Meridian Diesel (2004 ) My question is when you have it plugged into to 110v does it charge your engine batteries along with the house batteries.

Only if you have a Trik-L-Charger or something of the like already installed. I have a 2006 Meridian and Winnie started installing them in 06' from the factory. Before that you had to install one on your own.

The Trik-L-Charge steals a few volts from the house batteries and routes it to the chassis batteries, depending on how discharged the chassis batteries are. There are a few other brands out there that acomplish the same thing.

Otherwise you will have to run the motor to charge the chassis batteries.

SargeW is absolutely correct. I have a 2005 Vectra and installed a Trik-L-Start myself in less than an hour. Works Great!
Winnebago site has a service tip on installation.

AS I understand it the Trik L Start feeds current from the house batteries to keep the engine battery topped off.
Since I usually use the disconnect switch to disconnect the house batteries when we are stopped for more than a few days, that wouldn't work for me so I use a BatteryMinder that plugs into a 120 vac outlet.

It's small - about the size of the plug-in transformers for some electronics. I use an outlet right by the door and installed a 12 volt socket that is connected to the engine battery.
I installed a cigarette lighter end on the output lead so I can plug it into the socket.

I think the answer to your question is NO, on your coach they do not. Someone else hop in and correct me, but I do believe that the Trik-L-Start was installed starting in 2005.

Easy to locate: open front hood, look in and remove the metal cover aprox. 24"x9". On the right side there might be a 4"x3" black box marked Trik-L-Start.

If not, you need one..

My '02 Suncruiser has been off-road since our return from the summer jaunt. It has been setting for 3 weeks and the engine battery (which has the dash radio back powered).

It still reads 12.5V.

But I still think my alternator (at 14.8V constant) is overpowering. Someone said that the regulator on the alternator was serviceable.

WRONG. It is integral and must be replaced as a total unit. $300+
