Anyone know if there is an enclosed satellite dish I could mount in place of my crank up without exceeding 12' in exterior height.

Also, anybody know the height of my MH to the top of the roof skin (not counting the dooms and stacks etc.

My MH is in Sioux Falls - too far away to measure myself.

KVH's new R6 model is 12.5" high. Older ones were 14.5".

My Adventurer with the older KVH dome antenna is exactly 12' tall. Rubs the weather stripping on my mom's garage door that's 12'. Your own 37B, on a Workhorse would probably need to measured to know for sure...

Thanks for the response Tim. Guess I'll have to wait until I can get the MH back and use the old analog method.

Thought someone would happen to know.

Donavon: I installed the Winegard LP1000. This satellite dish is 6 inches tall, it got great reviews in the trade papers. Call Winegard for more info. I have been completely satisified with the performance. Also, I like the look of the low profile.

Thank you Gary. That's 2" lower than my crankup. Would work perfect.

While the LP 1000 is indeed lower in height and less visible, it is also not as capable of receiving satellite signals from the northern most parts of the US and Canada. I had one for a period and it worked great in mid-America, but when traveling throughout the northwest, it dropped the signal. Wineguard will verify this and it is also mentioned in their brochures.

As yours is an overall height issue, it may well serve to be a good compromise. Less signal reception but overall less height. Good luck.
