Right on Stan! I've been selling & installing batteries in cars, boats, Rv's for 30yrs and still have the originals in my 2000 Winny. Most boat and rv batteries are done in from lack of understanding and proper care. Car batteries fair much better. If you can't get more than 2yrs out of a battery in todays rv's it might not be the batteries fault.

There is obviously something wrong with this entire scenario; and it's not all that unusual for an RV dealer to service a customer's rig by doing a switch-er-oo: switching defective stuff in customer's rig, or merely switching parts with a rig that's been sitting unmaintained on their lot, with parts on a new rig that's just arrived from the factory.

First thing Tuesday Morning after Labor Day I made an appointment to take the coach in Wednesday morning. When I brought the coach in the Service (Delivery) Manager said he would get the guy to take the coach back to the bay right away. I had to be in Atlanta that night.

At 1:00 in the afternoon on Wednesday my coach was still sitting in the parking lot at Lazy Days.

I stormed out because of this, so now I am looking for a new dealer to do a REAL PDI on the coach.

I wanted to conclude this thread by giving a final summary and to say thanks to a few people.

First let me thank everyone on this forum that helped me identify the problem quickly.

The coach batteries that were in my new coach were (very) used batteries date coded 01/2002. I will let everyone speculate how they got there but Winnebago uses Interstate batteries just about everywhere, even in their remotes. I doubt they would put used batteries in a new coach.

The Interstate Battery store in Kennesaw GA stepped up and exchanged the old/used Workaholic batteries for brand new SRM-29s at No Charge! That's what I call service.
