Do ERA's have inverters?

Hi-
I am new owner of 2015 170X, and don't believe I have an inverter (maybe a converter?). Are inverters hard to add, in terms of connecting to what you want to power (let's say outlets in kitchen), and is there a limit to what the Sprinter's system can power? Thanks, Fred

Did your new to you 2015 ERA 70X come with an Owner's Manual?
Suggest you begin by reading it.
If not, download one from the www.Winnebagoind.com website, and read/search that one for the info you seek.

There are lots of small details on RV, just as there are on cars. Things change even during a specific model type and year, so taking a good hard look at yur books is one way to cut the chase.

It is my feeling that retrofitting one would be pretty big job on a smaller unit as it requires some pretty big changes like adding more batteries to meet a minimum amount of use you want to make of them. Generally, inverters were added in large lux units and are gradually working their way down but I might not expect one in a smaller 2015 model. I use a 2015 Vista 31KE and it does not have an inverter but then it is not one of the things we would have much use for in the way we operate.
Given a choice of TV and going to a more crowded park versus the open and no TV, we are glad to set outside in the chair where there is NO tv. Normal cooking, heating can be done without an inverter and that is right for us.
Very much a compromise that we each need to make.

There are lots of details involved in adding an inverter.

Here is a link to a website with very good basic info about RV electrical systems: The 12volt Side of Life (Part 1)

Note that there are 2 parts to the website, so be sure to click on part 2 at the bottom of part 1.

The above website is not going to tell you "how" to install an inverter. It will give you lots of good info to understand the 12V side of the RV, including the batteries, battery charging, solar and solar panels, converters and inverters.

Many thanks for your replies folks. May not be worth the effort just to avoid firing the generator while driving to make a cup of coffee....
