I turned off and then on my coach battery disconnect and the chassis battery disconnect and now my genset is dead. When I push the start button nothing happens it is just dead.

Any ideas?

ok. most likely nothing to do with the disconnects just a coincidence.

My Genset has always worked so zI never had to troubleshoot,

My coach is a 06 Horizon 36RD Onsn Getset.

When I push start noting but silence
If I hold the stop doen I cn hear it priming

The breaker on genset ok.

I think there there are fuses under the accesss panel but not sure if those are 12v in or out.

Anybody have a dead genset before?????????

If so how did you troubleshoot it?????

Thanks

I'd start by making sure the battery has a good charge, good connections, and more than 1/4 tank of fuel.

Gensets in m/h are set up so they will not run with less than a quarter tank of fuel in the m/h tank. That keeps you from being out in the boonies and running out of gas and stranding yourself.

I have 3/4 of a tank of fuel
And batteries are 12.8vdc

Do you know what the mini fuses under the access plate do?

It might help if we knew what brand and model of generator you have.

If it's an Onan 8KW diesel, and the green light doesn't flash when you press it, you probably have a bad control module. If so, bad news - $1500 and an all day visit to Onan - when they get the parts in. Been there, done that - thank goodness for warranties.

Check for clean and tight battery cable connections. I had a similiar problem. The gen was getting enough current for the light and fuel pump, but would not crank.

i'll take a shot at this. just an idea.
1.have you tried holding the battery booster switch when starting the genny?
2.your coach battery disconnect solenoid could have high resistance.

Like Pubtym stated check and make sure your "Coach" Power switch is on.. With it off you can prime etc, but it will not allow you to start the Genset.
The reset breakers/fuses under/behind the panel are labeled on mine...

An 06 Horizon 36RD will have an Onan 7.5K Quiet Diesel.
