Dash A/C not working
My dash a/c is not working at all. The blower fan does not work when the speed switch is turned, nor does the compressor because the clutch is not engaging on the compressor. The only thing that works on the a/c/heater switch is the vent which opens but no blower. I checked the 15 amp fuse for the blower motor and it is good. Could the problem be associated with the a/c system relay?

Sounds like it might be a faulty blower motor resistor block. This is located in the heater core area.
A stop at your local chassis manufacturer will be able to confirm.

Thanks Bug512. Does the blower motor control all of the functions of the a/c controls because nothing works?

I do not think it will complete the compressor circuit without the blower motor being on. I will try to look at the schematic for you.

Sometimes there is a low pressure sensor/switch on the "freon" line. If the freon pressure is to low the compressor will not turn on.

I had the same problem and it turned out to be (ta da!)... a bad ground connection.

That's correct but his inside fan / blower motor is not running at any speed.

Can you share where this bad ground was located for the OP?

I wish I could be more specific but I didn't do the work. It was done when I had my AC fixed. As I recall, it had to do with the wiring between the fan switch and with the ignition switch. Sorry. Best I can do right now.
