Cummins Diesel 3200 Voltage Output
I have a 2010 Itasca Navion with a Cummins Diesel 3200 generator. With no load the voltage output is 117 V. When the air conditioner comes on, the voltage output drops to 107 - 108 V. The amperage varies between 15 to 18 amps. The above readings were taken from my Progressive Industries EMS surge protector and verified with a Hughes plug in Voltmeter.
Is this normal? It is my understanding that the A/C compressor can be damaged by running it on less than 105 V.
107 V seems pretty close.
