Go with the Magnum Energy MS2012. Xantrex not the company they once were. Magnum makes good stuff and their tech support is excellent.

I don't recommend Xantrex. Customer support is poor. Found this out the hard way.
Many have recommended Magnum. The MS2812 is what Winnebago put in my coach and I love it. Support from Magnum is well documented. Your bang for the bucks is greater with Magnum.
If you are not interested in the generator start feature the simple control panel should be all you need. The existing ribbon cable should work just fine on the Magnum and its control panel.
Use caution when you do the changeout. If done correctly there is no danger. Do it wrongly and you could get very hurt.
Happy trails,
Rick

I agree...Xantrex lost my support too. Can't vouch for Magnum personally but there are plenty here who have had good service.

Back in 2005/6 Xantrex support was great, I used them in my example of a good company..
Alas.. I am told they outsourced their support since then.
The story had me making 3 customer support calls
Hughes Net, outsourced to India, 7 hours I tried to talk to that script head and we got nowhere at all.
Xantrex. Perhaps 15 minutes, Had an RMA within the first few and the rest was how to do a better install than camping world did.. Great at the time,, Now outsourced, likely to the same script head.
Workhorse, Never got past the call screener, She had the info I needed, Call time less than one minute and a very happy customer.
