Even with the cable button in on my control panel, I can't get the TV to find cable channels. All I can get are the antenna stations. I gave up. Any ideas?

It hurts my head when I have to remember how to re-program those TV's! Did you re-set the program on the TV to cable? I think you have to do that before you can pick up the cable channels. If that's not the problem--I have a big hammer! Good luck--

Yeah, there's a setup screen somewhere in the menu choices where you tell it CABLE rather than ANTENNA. Some TV make it easier than others. Everytime we stop somewhere, I have to put our RCA TVs into menu mode and run through the setup to find local channels or whatever.

If you know the channel numbers the cable is providing you should be able to manually input that number to see if you are actually getting the cable input to the TV. Just a thought.

I used to give this advice about computer problems.

If you have a paper boy or a neighborhood kid tell him your problem and ask him to take a look at it. Most teenagers have a through knowledge of these problems. Give him a few bucks if he fixes your problem.

Just looked at my bedoorm TV. On the remote...
Menu, Channel select, signal type is the first selection and you can toggle back a forth between cable and antenna.

Under Menu I have Channel Setup, Automatic Channel Search - only then does it ask if I want Antenna of Cable.

It's there somewhere, just not very obvious.

Mine is different. I figured it out. The pulldown menu for the antenna has 4 different listings. I guess AIR is for the antenna Then there is STD. I tried the auto-program on STD and it works for cable. Now I have to figure out which one is for the Direct TV.
Thanks for the suggestions

Your bedroom TV and front TV will see the same channel as the direct tv tuner is on Finhawk. Unless you get 2 boxes
