Backup camera replacement

Looking for some advice on replacing my backup camera monitor or upgrading my backup camera system. We were heading down the highway and started to smell an electrical burn, after a frantic few minutes, we isolated it to the monitor for the backup camera. Are there plug compatible replacements for my original 7" black and white Voyager VOM-7SN monitor? Would a better option be an upgrade to a new system and replace the camera and monitor together. if so, is the existing wiring going to work or does that require replacement as well? Or just go with a wireless system? Thanks!!
