Just drill a hole to the right of the stereo and put in a 12vdc toggle switch to the red pos feed. The draw is not that much if I remember maybe .4amp or .3 amps in standby, low, but you are fighting everything not necessary. I've been buried in testing things so much for the past few weeks I might need to go back and verify memory but you can't just pull the audio fuse on the distribution panel - several other things are fused there, monitors etc. If you really use the clock on the stereo you will need to reset it every time you toggle it on/off. It seems in a bad spot to just check time there, I have a small 1.5 volt battery powered clock in a readable place. Other things to note, if you use the ceiling led lights use them on low setting, they use a lot more amps on high, measured that, maybe 1.5 - 2 amps on high. I put a clip on the central hook for the divider curtain in the ceiling and hang a rechargeable small light there for night use before bed.

Batteries are heavy unless you are moving to lithium solution. Also read UTHURRICANER's post just above. In either case installing a new adequate charger in that same bay and using the existing POS cable of the inverter to feed charge to the battery will be very helpful. Get the appropriate charger for the battery type you pick. There are many discussions about lithium so just be aware of those considerations but they save weight, deliver performance and deplete your checking account - you have to decide.

Dumb question but when we convert to two 6v bats in series, due they both get charged at the same time same rate?

No such thing as a dumb question! Yes, true for FLA and AGM. LiFeP04 normally you have two 12vdc in parallel. Larger banks of FLA and AGM can be a bit more challenging but two batteries either series or parallel works just fine. In parallel you put the charge POS on one battery and the NEG ground on the other. Most of the time I would prefer two 6vdc deep cycles in series over two 12vdc parallel.

update
I have been running my two T-1275's (300 Ah) and 300 watts of solar for over a year now. I do mostly remote camping and have yet to run low on power and never used the generator to catch up. I did buy the 2017 model View for the propane refrigerator and use a remote bottle first to keep the built in tank as the backup. Has been a perfect set up for my use.

Hey! We all are happy for you and that beautiful LP fridge. As you know I followed your lead with the T-1275s and they have worked, still working, great to allow us to overnight for three, sometimes 4 nights. Yeah, we are probably envious of that LP fridge right now. I think dry camping would essentially be limited only by dump stations and fresh water with the LP refrigerator. For those of us who are in the pickle jar it is still a work in progress.
