2108DB Micro Minnie comes Solar Ready

Thank you for welcoming us into your community. Our three stickers (i.e. Extreme Weather Pkg.; Off-road Pkg., & Insulated & Heated Tanks) 2108DB Micro Minnie comes Solar Ready. However, this is 2019, as is the RV we had already purchased a Coleman 120 W p0anel and the generous RV dealership gave us an additional portable 120 W case and panel. WE can find no additional info from Winniebago and wnat to run either airconditioning or beefed up furnace at BC's Forestry Campsites. They are all off-grid. We've become aware that there may be NO controller on the trailer to prevent over-charging the 12 V Deep RV Battery as it may only be a convenient three wires directly to the battery. Suggestions?
Thnx.
Nancy

Hi welcome.
I moved your post out of the administrative thread you posted in previously.

Solar ready generally means that wiring has been run from the roof to near the battery compartment. And, nothing more. So, you will need to supply solar panels and a solar charge controller to complete the system - and that's just the start. You'll also need an inverter, battery monitor, revised AC wiring and most likely more/bigger batteries, as well.

How much of this you install will be dependent on how far you want to take this process, and how much you want to spend.

If you are not up to speed on solar you should start reading the hundreds (thousands?) of discussions on the internet about installing a solar system on your RV. There are also dozens and dozens of YouTube videos on this topic as well.

Also, FYI you will most likely never be able to run your A/C on your solar system.
