Hi, have a 03 adventurer too (love it) failed to start one morning in campround at Medora ND. Good sam found a mechanic 35 miles away
He found the connection to the starter coroded. CCleaner them and back to normal (charged $60 well worth it) if you can't here a click when you turn the key, battery, solenoid, or connection.

I enjoy reading the suggestions you're making. I have contracted the common, uncomfortable, feverish, runny nose, sore throat, absolute disgusting and weather change cold. Therefore, I am waiting for a little relief before I start punching around searching for the point of the shorted wire.
In the meantime, please re-read my two post. I think, though I'm not good at giving details, while some are replying, they may not remember what I stated. Aaaand, that's alright. I am glad you are trying and desiring to help.
I would like to know where the wires on the 4 1/2 block come from and or go. Only one terminal out of the five or six is grounded.
I welcome all comments. Thank you for your efforts.
