I added a couple meters and I "think" I see what and where you want.
The parts drawings can help us guess where wires go, so I did a couple snips of them. Click the pictures for better view.
First pic is looking from below, one on the right is from the outside and bottom picture is looking down at an angle. I looked like you might find a couple big leads from the batteries going to the converter and they duck through the red item which is listed as a grommet to get on the inner side of the frame.
Maybe through the sealer, through the grommet, and hiding inside the main frame rail to the battery section? Or is the grommet hidden under the sealer you see?
They may have hidden it under a shield along the frame?
I added a couple cheap meters as they give me some assurance things are working as expected. I mounted near the driver's seat to see.
1. when I turn the meters on, I want to see both strings come up to the normal float voltage and each string has a slightly different voltage level
2. when the engine starts, the voltage on both should jump up to the alternator output of around 14 volts. This tells me that the alternator is working and also the battery mode solenoid is connecting both strings together as it should.
It's not so much that I want to know the battery voltage as it is that it also lets me do a check on the charge setup!
