12v bulb shield thingies
Does anyone make a quality replacement for those super cheap rectangular plastic translucent bulb covers that are all over the coach, one in every bay compartment, etc? All you have to do is look at them and they fall out, bump them and they crack and you might as well toss them.

I secure mine with a short bead of silicone on each side. It keeps them in place but still allows for removal when necessary.

CJ7,
Well Sir, the only one I've had fall out or, missing I should say is, the one in my engine/radiator compartment in the rear. My other ones are hanging in there just fine. I do agree they are about as cheap as things come. Very weak. But, for the most part, what do they have to do? Simply cover a bulb. As for an answer to you, I don't have clue where to get some better ones. I'd say, any you find will most likely be the same exact ones you're having trouble keeping in place.
A suggestion could be to simply replace all of the problem fixtures with a better quality one with lens that don't fall off. But, that would or could be, a bit costly. Sometimes, you can find a deal like that where a dealer purchased a bunch of items from a supplier that was closing out or, going out of business. Just a thought here.
Scott
upon edit: ernieh has a great suggestion there with the silicone.

I agree silicon works great
BUT first
Replace all the 1141 bulbs with proper LED's
The heat from the incandescant bulbs destroys the cheap plastic covers

You can cut a dowel to a length a little wider than the cover width, wedge it in place in the center and heat it some with a heat gun. After it cools the cover will stay in place a lot better.

Good idea, but do they stay that way after the bulb heats them up again? The ones that I had the most trouble with PS (pre silicone) were the ones that stayed on the most.

Replace bulb with an LED the heat issue goes away
Been about 3 years now w/ no issues - one problem solved
However there are always many others to get resolved

DITTO
I replaced my 2 passenger side lamps with Starlights 200 LED's. You can either cover them or just leave it off.
