12 Volt Battery question

I was wondering if there is a reason that you cannot use 12 volt maintenance free batteries? Seems like that would be one less thing to have to check all the time.

Yes you can use maintenance free AGM sealed batteries. One less thing to check but you must spend the extra money for them.

One reason not to use them is that relatively speaking, 12V batteries do not have the amp/hr storage capacity and are not deep cycle. Two Lifeline AGM 6V batteries will give you maintenance-free, deep cycle, and reasonable amp/hrs. They will cost you a bundle, however.

You might be better off with two deep cycle 6V golf cart batteries and a battery watering system. The watering system will reduce your maintenance to a few minutes/month.
