Wiper Blades

Just purchased a 2013 Itesca sunstar 35F.
hit a lot of rain on my first trip and don,t like the factory wiper Blades.
I was told by dealer only factory blades will work and not after market, His any used after markets?

Thank You

Sounds like a dealer trying to sell overpriced wiper blades. Remember, most dealers will say anything to make a sale. I'm sure replacement blades of the proper length would do just fine. Those blades on your new RV might have been exposed to the elements for 6 months or more before you purchased it, they may need to be replaced.

When we bought our new Avenger in 2008 (car) we didn't like the wiper blades and tried to buy aftermarket ones but could not find them. It was because it was so new that the aftermarket people had not started producing them. Had nothing to do with the dealer.

Go to Carquest, Napa, or any good auto store and they will have blades that will work just fine.

Just found out the 28's on my motorhome are a truck blade and the one sold at autozone or walmart don't fit. It,s the size of the hook mount is different. Some of the RV suppliers sell one that fit.

Thanks For the help

And when you get the wipers you like then go to the hardware store and buy a length of the foam they use to wrap pipe with (usually the 1"-1 1/4" diameter size). Cut a couple of pieces the length of your wipers and keep them covered when not on the road. I'm just now beginning to think about new ones for my 9 year old coach. I get 2-3 times the life out of my other vehicle blades by keeping them covered also.

Was on the road with my 35j last September and needed to do a replacement. Went to walmart, purchased bosch blades of the correct length. Removed the pin that the normal plastic clip snaps onto and the bolted them on my wiper arms using the original bolts. Worked no problem. Saved a bunch over buying the "RV" blades for a shop

Camping World has the larger blades used on most RV's. And they frequently run a buy one, get one free special. I usually get spares when they do. I have been satisfied with their performance and I do keep them covered when not using the coach.

Replaced mine last month at O'Reilly Auto Parts. Removed the clip and installed with the original bolt. Worked great on the next trip.

Yup did the same with Rain X Blades. Removed one rivet on the clip on the new blades and put them on. I also used foam pipe insulation for 1/2 inch pipe to keep them covered when not in use..
