Winnebago Class A Safety recall

I recently received a recall for my 2019 Sunstar LX motorhome. The notice states if affects Vista, Adventurer, and Sunstar (35F only) manufactured from July 2016 through October 2019.

"An electrical connector was mounted directly to the floor. Should the floor get wet where the electrical connection is mounted to the floor, the water has the potential to be a conductive path between the hot and neutral... "

Has anyone had this looked into? Do you know where the connection might be located?

Thanks,

I hadn't heard of this. So, I looked it up and found this:

Quote:
Winnebago Industries is recalling 638 model year 2017-2020 Itasca Vista, Sunstar, and Adventurer 35F motorhomes. An electrical connector was mounted directly on the floor instead of to a standoff bracket as intended.

If the floor gets wet where the electrical connection is mounted, there is an increased risk of an electrical short and fire.

Winnebago will notify owners, and dealers will correctly mount the electrical connector onto a metal standoff bracket, free of charge. The manufacturer has not yet provided a notification schedule. Owners may contact Winnebago customer service at 1-641-585-6939 or 1-800-537-1885. Winnebago’s number for this recall is 160.
Maybe some other members will chime in. I know fellow staff member "Macnut" has a 2017 Adventurer 35F. Perhaps he knows more about it.

I found more info about the recall. I even found the Remedy that's been approved and sent to dealers. The documents state at least one RV owner has reported a fire in their RV due to this issue. No info on how serious the damage was due to the fire. It seems to apply to LP Refrigerators AND Residential fridges.

Also it's only specific models in specific years:
2017 Winnebago Vista - Itasca Sunstar
2018 Winnebago Vista - Itasca Sunstar
2019 Winnebago Vista - Itasca Sunstar - Winnebago Adventurer
2020 Winnebago Adventurer

Here's a link to the official Remedy instructions for LP Fridge:
