I have replaced my wiper blades and now I get a "slapping" sound like the metal part of the blade is hitting the glass. It doesn't happen at street speed but definitely on the highway.
Any thoughts?
Thanks

You may need to get a different brand of blade & blade holder. Far cheaper than replacing scratched windshield glass.
If you took the wiper arms off and then put them back on, are they correctly aligned?

My first thought of this was that the blade was collapsing as it got to its furthest travel point of travel and the plastic frame was hitting the glass. I've checked the length and I have the correct 24". Thought being if it was too short the arm springs would push down more.
These are the costco version and I like your thought about trying a different brand. Ill pick up a new set and try that.
Problem being that its hard to find the proper Winnebago type and when I have they are very expensive. What i did was modify (for reference I'll see if i can fins the post where I did this .) the wiper to make any brand fit. And this might be part of the problem. Ill look to see if my modification has moved the blade closer to the glass although I don't think the geometry has been changed.
Thanks for the reply.

Yes, thanks for the reminder. I guess if it is not scratching the glass, you could just find a good song on the radio to which the wiper blades could slap in-time, on high-speed of course. How about this song? (ha-ha)

At high speed I thingj the Joplin sounds closest to my wipers
As an FYI, I called a couple truck shops up. Most use normal auto wipers but there are “wide frame” wipers. The only place I see them is online for about $43 each.
So problem solved. I got rid of the Costco automotive wipers and bought some commercial wipers. They are $50 CDN each but solved my problem.
Here is a link. These are the HD version that I got but they also have an RV version. What’s nice is they come with spacers and washers to ensure they fit snuggly into the arm.
