Window repair/replacement

I need my entry door window on our 2005 Journey 39F repaired or replaced as it is very fogged up. Any recommendations of where to have that repair performed or where to order replacement glass?

I have the same issue with my 07 Itasca Meridian. I checked into a couple glass companies in the Branson MO area and none would do a repair. I have not tried a larger city, do not even know if that possible.

I called Winnebago Parts and the cost of a new glass for my door is just shy of $1,900.00. Would then have to add installation to that.

If you find a solution let us know

Check motionwindows.com They make RV windows to any size. I replaced my fixed windows with sliders. They are easy enough to replace.

This entry door window fog problem is a repair you can do yourself if you have a table, window cleaner, anti-fog spray (like scuba divers use) and tape. If not, just take your old window glass to any residential window supplier and they will take care of you for $50. If you take your whole RV to the same supplier and ask them to do it for you the repair should cost $125-$150.

Your entry door window is just a dual-pane, square, nothing special window made out of tempered glass.

It's held in place by a trim and some mounting plates, and it's fogged-up because the Argon gas leaked out and now moisture is getting in. This is a very common issue. It happened to me 5 years ago and I have not had any new fog problems since it got fixed.

Just split the window panes, clean, protect, and tape the ends with electrical tape twice, and put it back.

You do NOT need the Argon gas and none of the window suppliers will use Argon or any another gas either. So don't bother asking. The repair shop may have a desiccant you can put in the window or they may not. However, I think adding desiccant to sit inside the window bottom, to absorb moisture over time, sounds like a good idea, but it may be overkill.

Good luck with your repair. For now, at least you know this repair will not cost you a ton of money! And it's emblematic of many RV repairs. I.e., you can pay a lot or a little to achieve your desired result.

RV Glass
Just had our 2008 TOUR door glass replaced with solid, not gas filled. No more fogging, and almost the same R value.

Have had several windows done. They are super people and have full hookups so you can stay in your coach while they do the work. Reasonably priced.

Just had door window (05 Journey) repaired at suncoast designers in Hudson FL. Cost was under $300. They removed the window on Friday and repaired. Installed on Monday after adhesive had time to dry. They have free parking including electric and water hookups. Dump station on site. We did some kayaking and bike riding at the state parks that are in the area while waiting.
They include life time warranty to the original owner.

Wow! $1,900 for a piece of glass. The motor home people really like to rip us off. If you are not handy you don't have a choice except to submit.
