Window crank stripped out

The back bedroom window crank is stripped out on my 2001 Winnebago Journey 32T. Its the big window with the bottom 1/4 that will crank out to allow air in.

I've done some searching and not come up with anything. Need to replace the crank mechanism as it's stripped out.

The only window crank mechanism I can find in the Winnebago parts catalog is the two below. May or may not be what your looking for.

Try a Google image search then scroll through the pictures, I have found a lot of things that way.

If Winnie can't help with a replacement or source, take some digital pics. Than contact some RV salvage businesses around the country. Sending them pics helps get exactly what you need.

Thanks for the replies.

dc8cappie, I looked that up, I think that might be what I need. I thought I had a pic of it on my phone, but I can't find it. I'll go out to it in the next couple days and take a pic.

I remember when I looked at it, I wasn't sure how I'd even replace it.

EDIT: It's the mechanism behind the crank in this link. (not my pic)
https://www.manualslib.com/manual/81....html?page=121

It's actually this part here:
http://www.winnebagoind.com/service/...01/1wkp32t.pdf
page 292 part number5
part number 100322-01-716

finding it tho...unless it's the part that dc8cappie referred to...

You should be able to order the part from Winnebago through your local dealer?

I had a similar problem with my bedroom window. It turned out the that the rivets that held the 2 sides of the body of the crank together had failed. It let the two pieces separate enough so the internal gears would not engage. Tried different tapes but they would give out until I tried the aluminum tape used for AC duct joints. Yes its silver and didn't match but it holds. I may put some black tape over it one day but it has been working for a few years now.

It's just like Kelm130 says. The part has separated. I ordered a replacement but then determined it was too big of a job. Don't remember just now but I think the window has to come out of the frame. Anyway, I took a very small C-clamp and just clamped the two halves together. With the window screen and the tinted glass, you never see it unless you open the window and look for it. It's been like that for at least three years and never comes loose.

My next thing to try was JB weld but that's for another day. The tape has been holding for a couple years.
