Wind Noise

I am hearing a wind / whistling noise in the upper drivers side windshield area in my 2017 Journey. The dealership says it is the side window, but that does not seem to be where it is coming from. Anyone else have a similar issue?? The noise gets louder as the speed increases.

That condition sounds like the window wasn't sealed properly from the factory when it was installed.

I think so too, but it's a '17 let the dealer figure it out!

I have heard that sometimes the mirrors can cause wind noise that is hard to track down. Can you re-position the mirror heads and see if that makes a difference?

Check the outside weep holes at the bottom track of the window, the wind covers may have come off... http://www.irv2.com/forums/f258/atwo...ers-82746.html

I agree with Navybuff.. I had a similar issue with my Itasca. took it to the dealer who could not find anything wrong, then after researching on IRV2, i found a couple hits on the weep holes and sure enough two were missing. After purchasing and installing them, its much quieter..

Using black electrical tape as an experiment, I covered-up my weep holes (slots, actually) in the vicinity of the driver's side mirror. That cured the noise.

I also used the tape on my weep holes. No more noise. Winnebago is of zero help on drain hole covers. The dealers here in Canada are less than zero help.
