tommyd-

What is the year, make and model of the awning arm?

In February-March I had to help someone repair a Dometic/A&E model 8500 from the early 2000s. I looked for the parts and found that Dyer's Online (www.dyersonline.com) had the parts and were very quick shipping them. Pleasant on the phone, too.

One one arm I replaced the bracket. It was not the neatest riveting job. On the other, I replaced the arm. When it failed the bracket tore the rivet hole open at the end. I could have repaired the arm, but it wasn't worth it for the difference in price between the arm-with-bracket and the bracket by itself.

Link to arm I selected is here. Link to bracket is here. I see the bracket is out of stock at the moment. Note: I found I could not order a grey bracket anymore.

If you have a Dowmetic/A&E 8500, please confirm all the part numbers for yourself- don't go by what I chose..

I used dyers last year to replace an awning ruined by a strong wind and was extremely happy with their customer service. Good luck with ur repairs.
