What Awning Fabric to use ...

It is time to replace all the awning fabric on our rig. There are so many choices that I am unsure just what to buy. Our rig has a metal shield cover so that just makes the choice harder.... Keep It or Lose it?


The posts I found on this topic are dated so I am asking to current opinions on just what to get. I am thinking it is best to keep the shield. However; when I looked at it closely, I saw it looks to attached to the rig with a 1-2inch piece of fabric (between the the rig and the shield). I have never heard anything about that being done on other rigs.


I see ads for "Vevor Fabric" is this brand any good? What have you used and would you use the same thing again?



I am thinking of adding some sort of tarp extension to the awning using the lighting channel on my awning tube. What thoughts do you have about this and what have you guys done to get more coverage out of the rain.


We setup as camp hosts for much of the summer so be are not traveling as much as many other do.
