How do you get the information center to work. We would like to know mpg. and even find the menu.
We've looked, dealer tried, but can't seem to get it to work. Manual instructions and what we have are two different models.

What coach do you have, C&C? We're trying to figure ours out too. We don't know enough yet to ask specific questions right now.
edit: I just looked at your profile. Yeah, we have the same only ours is a 34H. So we'll be listening in on your thread here too.

When we purchased our 2003 Journey DL and started reading the Owners Books we thought we had an Information Center. After two days of searching we realized we did not have this very desirable addition.
Atr you sure you have the Information Center installed on your Coach?
Good Luck

Carol,
The driver's information center is highly improved in the 2007 model which has the information center dead center in the instrument cluster. The older information center was problematic, and Freightliner fixed it in the '07 model.
Here's how I have mine setup:
Line 1 - Date and Time
Line 2 - Odometer (Actual coach miles)
Line 3 - Trip Odometer (I use this for annual miles)
Line 4 - 'Today' - I use this for tank mileage (mpg, total miles, gallons used, etc)
Line 5 - 'Leg' - I use this for leg mileage, mpg, gallons used, etc
Line 6 - Engine parameters (including temperature, rpm, instantaneous mileage, etc)
Line 7 - Transmission parameters (temperature, gear, etc)
Note: You can only display 3 lines at a time. Use your joy stick to scroll up and down for the other lines of information.
The information on the 3 trip mileage logs is resettable, which was a problem with the prior units.
Look in your Freightliner Recreational Vehicle Chassis guide on how to set the lines up. Description starts on p. 2.17. A little challenging to first set up, but once you get it set up, the system is great!

Don, I'm glad to hear your explanation to Carol. We glanced at that passage you refer to in the manual but it seemed so complicated that we put it down until we can spend more time scrutinizing it.
One quick question, is the date resettable? When DH was trying to set it as he drove down the road, it gave some kind of message that it can't be reset and to see an authorized dealer or something to that effect so he didn't fool with it anymore.

Amanda,
The date should be resettable. When I shut off the engine battery from the rear Guest switch, the date resets. So I have to reset it. Pretty easy to do once you have done it once.
I love how the new information center works. It has essentially all information I would want on coach and engine/transmission performance.

He's tried and tried and still doesn't work. We've got the date and that's it.
We will be leaving next week for Florida and wanted it to work.
Guess that won't happen.

Bring it by Brockport, NY, and I'll set it up for you.

Well, we're leaving for Florida this next week. Will have to do mileage the old fashion way. Maybe someone at the campground can figure out what's wrong.
Thanks for the offer

Does your rig have TripTek? If so, it's much easier to use. I still can't figure out 75% on my info center and then can't read it due to glare and the angle in which it is mounted!
