Weight of Haldex Purist Air Dryer

Would anyone have any idea, or where to look, how much the Haldex Purist Air Dryer on the Freightliner XC chassis might weigh? I'm trying to figure out if I can hold it while laying on my back after I remove the 3 mounting bolts. Hopefully then I'll be able to rotate the dryer 90 degrees then put one of the mounting bolts back in to hold it in place while I remove the 4 smaller bolts holding the filter housing on. If Winnebago hadn't installed that angle iron brace between the two levelers it would be simple to rotate the dryer after removing two of the 3 mounting bolts.

I've got a 2005 Journey 36G and was able to remove the 4 small bolts for the filter housing and take it off without removing the whole dryer. Yours must be different.

Yes it can be done, on mine I could not start a bolt and then rotate it in to place. Just had to push up with one arm and start bolts with the other. I guess it weighs 20lbs.. Best guess.

With the dryer in place there just isn't room to reach all 4 bolts and be able to lift the housing off the dryer. Wouldn't want to risk the possibility of getting contaminates in the dryer with that close working conditions.
It's hard to tell by looking, but I thought after removing the 3 mounting bolts the dryer could be moved out away from the axle a little, rotated about 90 degrees toward the back, then maybe one of the bolts re-installed to just hold the dryer while the 4 bolts and the top are removed.
The air hose with the slip-joint won't come apart so this will determine how much the dryer can be moved and all this must be done under the coach, which ain't going to be fun.

My coach now has a new air dryer filter. I did have to remove all 3 mounting bolts and lay the unit on a stack of the plastic leveling blocks in order to get to the 4 15mm bolts holding the filter cannister on. But I definitely did need the help of another set of hands lowering the unit then while replacing the 3 mounting bolts.

I removed all but one of the free mounting bolts and rotated the whole assembly to allow me to get at the filter cover bolts.

I didn't want to remove the air lines.

If you're strong enough to break the bolts loose you're probably strong enough to lift the entire chassis! I used a 3 foot breaker bar and it still wasn't easy. I don't think mine had ever been changed before.

Yours must have originally been installed by one of the gorillas manufacturers occasionally have working on the assembly line. Mine come loose fairly easy with a 1/2" breaker handle I carry in my tool box.

I think a lot of these assemblers go by what my Dad used to tell me in my high school days when I worked part time with him in his auto shop, "tighten it just as tight as you can, then give it another 1/2 turn".
