I believe Bill had his awning fixed at the GNR.

With continuous beeping, you have a problem with the wind sensor, wind sensor wiring, or the connection from the wiring harness to the circuit board (or I suppose it could be in the PC board itself.)

In a normal functioning awning, you can disconnect the wind sensor (the telephone-looking cord), and you should hear the beeping as a test.

There is control box programming, but I believe it is only for it to 'learn' the remote key fob.

Pubtym, sorry you didn't get Dometic do a goodwill repair at the GNR. They replaced the housing on the roof and the control box, no charge.

I've left the sensor on and twice now it has rolled up automatically. They told me it's default setting is 18 mph. When it got pretty windy and was flapping a bunch, I rolled it up half way. Then I waited for the wind sensor to take it in the rest of the way. This way I could get calibrated for what to expect. 18 mph is a bit too much so I'll set it down to 14 or 15.

Pubtym,
Reprogramming is to match the remote control to the awning control box.

Breaking news on this awning is, in June, I learned (from A&E factory reps) that if the awning sensor gets wet, the awning will not stay deployed until:
1. the sensor dries out
2. the sensor is disabled with the switch on the control box

As soon as the sensor dries out, it can be turned on and should work as before.
