Call the previous owner and ask....he might be looking for his misplaced garage door opener.

Our MH is a repro and although I do have his name he may not appreciate a call from me

Just start the conversation with, "I was fortunate enough to purchase a motorhome and I found it it belonged to you at one time. I was wondering if you could give me any information on it." Or words to that affect. You'll know soon enough if he is upset.

I always say, "The worse you can get for asking is a "no""

Edited: Binnie, I believe Winnebago has long had remote control awning. It wasn't until a few years ago that they put all the fan-dangled wind sensors and rain sensors on them. I have one of those. If it is an awning remote there will be a small box somewhere that will activate the motor for the awning. If you can find that box - well you'll be lucky right?

Have you thought of calling Winnebago and asking them? They probably have a build sheet still in their files for that year/model.

Also, just because the "red light" illuminates when the button is pushed does not mean that the battery is good enough to send the RF signal to the remote box. Just for giggles change the battery out and try it again. What's to loose except the cost of the battery?

Happy trails.
