Truma hot water heater

Towards the end or our first trip in our 2020 view we experienced the wall panel on the Truma was flashing and wouldn’t heat the water. Read the manual and gave us the impression that it needed to be decalsified. It said this is usually
Occurs after about 1500 gallons of use.. this was our first Trip so i know that we hadn’t used that much water, when i turned it to the off position it kept flashing, so i went outside to shut off out there. I thought maybe if i did that and waited a while and turn it back on it would work but it didn’t. Any suggestions or should o
I just do the decalsify process and see that works..

That would require you to use 50 tanks of fresh water, all hot, so that does seem odd. I guess if the water used was harder than normal, decalcification/descaling might be necessary sooner. I haven't run nearly that much water through our Comfort Plus model in 30,000 miles of travel.
Maybe contact Truma, and ask them why it might do what it's doing, or do as you say, and run the decalcification procedure, and see what happens.
This link has some instructions on how to come out of the decalc process. From a Jayco user forum, but I think it still applies.

I really doubt the need for decalfification (sp?) would prevent the water from being heated. I'm not familiar with this particular water heater or its manual, but I would guess it's not lighting off for some reason. I have seen other water heaters flash when that occurs.

As it's a 2020 View, it will probably have a Truma AquaGo Comfort Plus tankless heater. It has an "LED 2" light at the outside power switch location, that will flash a particular pattern/number of flashes to give you basic problem diagnosis and troubleshooting. See APPENDIX A, Error Codes.
I would still make a call to Truma, if they're not locked down under SARS 2.0 protocol.
