Trim movement?

Looks like the trim piece is moving on my slide...this is the rear corner and you can see how it has moved or shrunk....anyone have this happen to them? Similar movement on the smaller bedroom slide.

Wow !! I just noticed almost the same thing with mine the other day !! Mine is on a horizontal section of the driver side large slide . Soooo weird ! It is the rear section of trim. It looks still sealed at corner piece so it almost does look like it shrunk.

MutinyGuy got the same thing. One thing I did find was some of the trim pieces were cut to short. The corner trim has double sided tape that is suppose to hold the long trim in place and because the trim is to short it does not hold the trim. I have added some caulk at the top after pushing them is place which help some. I put a small screw in one under the corner trim.
Looks like they have added a screw on the outside of the corner trim that our coach does not have.

Our 2013 36M has 1/4 inch of shrink and it is all from the rear end of the bottom of the full wall slide.. I had noticed the silicon was loose but not why until you posted this.

No noticeable verticle trim shrink but I'll have to get the ladder out and check the tops to be sure.

Thanks for pointing this out.

Here's a picture were the trim on the slide out when down and the trim on the coach when up.

Wow...I wonder if WGO is aware of this issue? I just sent them an email with some pictures. They will more than likely just tell me to go to a Dealer. Lots of Luck

glad to find I"m not the only one with this issue. My local repair shop said it is very common. Not sure what a good fix is.. maybe a piece of trim for hot weather and another piece for cold.. just kidding!

I had the same thing happen on mine. I took off the corner piece and shoved the trim back into position then used some adhesive to try and hold it in place. I thought it was only mine that did this, time will tell if it works.

I think this issue is fairly common in the newer models...I was in my RV storage facility and there was a newer WGO Vista there. The trim on the vertical had moved up enough that at the bottom corner the track that the trim "slides" on was showing...

Mine did the same dang thing, not a major deal but a PITA. Fixed once and one trim is doing it again. This time I'm going to take the corner piece off and move trim back in place as others have done. Then I'm going to shoot some liquid nails up in there, (or something like it that sticks to fiberglass and plastic for sure), and hopefully be done with it. If it's got to come off someday, it'll have to be chiseled off!

Best regards,
W.D.

It looks like you are still under warranty. Let Winnebago figure it out if you start fooling around with it on your own Winnebago will put the blame on you. Don't just e mail make a call to the factory or go to a local dealer and make sure they put it on record keep the documentation that you notified them of the problem.

I had this problem when I purchased it and the dealer fixed it, only to have the same trim move again. When I took things apart to fix myself I realized they never put any type of adhesive in there to keep it from happening again. I have fixed many things instead of the dealer touching my rig, I just got the parts and did the work myself.

How would one take the corner piece off ? I'm afraid to pry it too hard.

kevin,
If your corner piece is like mine, look behind it (inside of slide trim). You should see a very small screw there holding the corner on. It's usually right in the miter joint of the metal trim.

Still be careful even after screw is removed, as there may be some type of adhesive or two sided tape holding the corner on also, as well as silicone.

Regards,
W.D.

We have it also! I have attached photos. The second one shows clearly how much it has moved.
