Step Cover Adjustment?

Yesterday our step cover failed to retract. We were sitting very unlevel ready to pull into our storage so I assumed that might be the problem. It did retract once the RV was sitting level, but I noticed that the step is definitely offset more to one side. This would directly relate to the side that would be binding when we were unlevel. Is there some adjustment that can be made to the step? The adjustment would need to be side to side (front of RV to back)
