OK, finally got the sofa in after doing a ton of other stuff first. It goes so slow.

I built up the platform with a hybrid solution.

1) I built the torsion box extension and drilled that into the floating platform for the extension. Then skinned that with 1/4" plywood to match the level of the existing platform.

It still had a little give which worried me, it was probably fine. but....

2) I covered the area under the sofa for the extension and existing platform with 3/4" plywood that was 24" depth. Bolted that down.

I could stand on the extension and it barely deflected at all. So I am confident in the weight holding.

3) I bolted down the back of the sofa frame, I intend to lag bolt the front of the sofa frame as well. I just need to go again to Home Depot.....

4) I was able to use the seatbelt for one of the chairs, the second one isn't forward enough so if I need that I will have to do more work to move and install that one.

Is that vinyl planking you used on the floor? The kind that clicks together with no nails?

Yes it is. It wasn't as easy as it looks because the area is so tight and almost every piece required some cutting.

Nicely done Mashmaster. Looks like it's a snug fit. Floor looks great too.
