Slideout problem

I have a Itasca 38T, slide used to be fine but the last time I opened it, it sealed at the top but the bottom wouldn’t go all the way, maybe about an inch to go. Found the issue when it rained and the floor was wet. Attempted to close and reopen and still no different. Any ideas?

Sorry to hear about your problem, been thru a few issue's with my kwikee system.Your problem depends a lot on the slide system that you have. More information is needed. Hydraulic, work differently than electric.Year of coach and slide type would be needed to maybe assist.

Try the Google search at the top of the forum page. It's much better than the "Search this Forum" function. I used it to search on "HWH slide not sealing at top" and got a number of hits including this one:

This or one of the other previous postings may have the answer to your problem.

Sorry, somehow I misread your description.

Either way, the problem would seem to be that the slide isn't parallel to the wall of your motorhome. In your case, the outside bottom edge of the slide would be too high instead of too low. There might be a clue in the fact that it came on rather suddenly and not gradually as something became worn. Maybe a broken adjustment bolt? Good luck and let us know what you figure out.
