Seitz roof hatch 06 View: Simply pull off bottom plastic cover piece to disassemble?

Hello!

I need to do two things and they both require temporarily removing the Seitz roof hatch on my 06 View.

1) I need to recaulk the roof outside around the hatch, and 2) I need to remove the entire ceiling carpet inside to check for mold.

Can I simply pull off the bottom plastic cover piece inside to get at the screws to disassemble the roof hatch?
