As promised in another thread I checked on the thermostat I installed in my Ultimate Advantage to interface with the Onan EC30. The thermostat indeed has a wire to interface with an Auto Generator Start. No cutting or jumping wires are necessary.
I use the Onan EC30 and when wired to the thermostat you can have generator auto start for--- 1.Low voltage, 2.If the thermostat calls for air conditioning and you are not plugged into AC. This is a great feature if you have pets in the coach and you don't want to leave the generator running all of the time, and 3. If the thermostat calls for electric heat and you are not plugged into AC.
The RVP thermostat model is 6535-344. You can see the installation and operation manual at:
www.rvcomfort.com---click on RVP rv products---click the technical information tab---click on installation instruction---click on wall mount thermostats---click on Installation & Operating Instructions For 6535-344*
If you go to page 7 in the manual you will see that pin #3 in the 9 pin plug is a green wire for auto generator start. That wire is connected to the thermostat wire (green wire if I remember right)from the EC30.
Hope this helps.

Peter,
Unless you have a (coleman mach true air) model #6535-344*. It will not have the green wire.
