I currently have the Xtreme vents on both my black and gray water waste vents. They are very noisy when it is windy. Sounds like marbles rolling around on my roof.
Has anyone tried the 360 Siphon? It has no moving parts and therefore would be quiet.
I am interested in the pros and cons of waste vents.

I put on a Cyclone and haven't had any problems and can't say I've ever heard it. I've gone out to see if its actually working and it does move. No complaints and cheaper then the 360 too.

I have the Extreme vent on my coach but it makes no sound of any kind. I have only one on my coach as it seems that my single vent pipe has the gray and black combined.

I installed the 360 model three years ago. The model I have basically rotates to optimize the vacuum effect produced by existing cross-winds. However, the last time I was on the roof, I noticed that the rotating head is beginning to stick a little. I applied some silicone spray but it still sticks. It appears that the unit is simply wearing out.
Would I install another 360? I'll probably start out with a conventional vent cap. If I then notice any odors, I'll probably install a new 360 and accept the fact that like everything else in life, this product has a finite life span. Hope this helps.

I have the Xtreme vent and I haven't noticed any noise. But now that you have planted the idea in my head I probably will today

Hi Rex - we have never used anything on our roof vents since we never had a problem to solve.
However we do have a problem with the house vents and wind from a certain direction - I need to come up with a solution other than a clothes pin on the nose

I have 2 Xtreme Vents for the past 4 years, mine are totally quite. I also have two friends that have then and I've been in both of their rv's, no sound whatsoever.
If you can hear yours, something is definitely wrong. Get on the roof and see if the mounting is loose or if it is falling apart. I believe they have a lifetime guarantee. Call Coil N' Wrap(they own the product now) and see what they can do for you.
Happy trails,

I installed the extreme roof vents also. All they did was spin around and around when the wind blew hard. They were extremely noisy. Coil and wrap was very helpful but I could never get them to stop spinning. Coil and wrap shows some pictures on there web page of what to do when there are issues including installing elbows from pvc tubing. I did not want my roof looking like P Trap central so I removed them and installed the original vent covers.

I've had the Xtreem vents on both black and grey vents for two years. So far no noise, they rotate and appear to work okay.

Just a follow-up on my waste vents. I contacted Coil n' Wrap and informed them of my noisy Xtreme vents. Today I received two new Xtreme vents. I have them installed and hopefully they will be quiet. Great customer service from Coin n' Wrap.

Seems like something as simple as these, you could see the problem. Did you notice anything loose on the old ones? Sloppy bushings? Something bent or out of balance?

It seems they were moving laterally and creating noise when windy. I assume too much play in the internal bushing.
