Roof insulation for 2008 Journey 39Z

This may be impossible, but I would like to know the feasibility/possibility of adding insulation to roof area of my coach. In areas of no shade during warm months, it is difficult to keep fridge and interior of coach at the temp I want. I have some areas of interior headliner separating so could a foam layer be placed prior to repair or do they make insulating ceiling panels? I plan to have side windows tinted with 3M CR 70 or 90 to lessen heat entry there.

The simple answer is pretty much no.

You can put reflective insulation in your windows and foam in your Maxxfan installation. But other than that you’re pretty much done.

That doesn’t mean you can’t strike out on your own and figure something out. But your Journey already has styrofoam insulation in the roof with A/C ducting built into it. The issue is space. There is not enough distance between your roof and the headliner inside your RV to insulate enough to materially prevent heat from building up.

Keeping your roof clean and gleaming white might help. I know it makes a difference to the touch.
